Hey I’m getting into US coins and starting with more recent series like Franklins and Lincoln wheat cents now, on top of my world coin interest. I have some Lincoln wheats I got and wanted to know if you thought the reverse on this 1940-D was enough to hold the coin back from MS-65. Thanks, really fun board.
I’m with @Collecting Nut. It’s a fairly common date and has rim marks, a mark on the bust, and some marks on the reverse. I’m at 64 red. JMHO
Thanks for the feedback! It's fun seeing what other people think. I'm working on collecting BU coins in common dates to get a sense of what nice should look like.
Good catch! I missed that. I don’t think so, of course I could be wrong, but I have a couple of 65 graded coins with this.
