Just ordered two of the uncirculated dollar sets from the US mint. These have the 4 presidential dollars and the Sacagewa dollar arranged on the 5 points of a star and the American Silver Eagle in the center. I think the fact that it is the W mint mark on the ASE is reason enough to pay the $31 for the set. They still have 2007 sets in stock...putting them away for the grandkids. Cool packaging as well. Anyone else have these?
I bought the 2007s for my kids with the idea of getting them every year, but the 2008 price seems like a ripoff at current silver spot prices. (which will probably lead to lower sales and higher prices if I don't buy them)
Got Em well, got a nice treat in the mail today...the US Mint 2007 Dollar coin set x 2. Very nice packaging and nicely arranged. Especially nice is the 2007-W Silver Eagle in the middle.....gonna order the 2008 sets tomorrow.
I got the 08 a couple days ago the pres dollars are strached up. not a suprisre though. my 2007 pres $ coin set was the same way.
I really liked the set and bought the 07 when it first came out. Then I was going back and forth trying to decide if I wanted to collect these sets and make this a yearly thing. After much consternation, I decided to go ahead and purchase the 08. Now I am just waiting for it to arrive. These are the type of sets that if you find a blank rim prez dollar, they could be worth tons of money... otherwise they are not even worth what you paid for the set.
