Nice video thanks...Really enjoyed it as I've just started reading 'A day in the life of ancient Rome' by Alberto Angela and the video gives nice visuals to compliment the book. I'd recommend this book for some light reading and the unique way the author wanders around Roman homes from the rich to the poor.....At the moment I'm only on chapter 10.10am in the morning an have already learnt a great deal..

There are a few books with this idea ... what era does this one theoretically take place in?

Very cool video! It's often easy to forget how many of our modern comforts the elite in Rome enjoyed almost 2,000 years ago.

Honestly, one of the most surprising and unusual features of the house was that the master of the house kept his "treasure chest" right at the front for everyone to see and admire. I am sure it was under 24/7 guard against thieves, but still...
