Here's another of the same - or at least similar coin.

This one. I had to research what a Peribolos was. Ex @John Anthony ...

    COMMAGENE, Zeugma.
Philip I and II. 247-249 AD.
Æ31, 19.2g; 6h (a nice chunky coin, how about that?)
Obv.: AYTOK K M IOYΛI ФIΛIΠΠOC CЄB; Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right.
Rev.: ZЄYGM-ATЄΩN; Peribolos containing grove of trees, seen in perspective; tetrastyle temple in distance, draped figure within (Zeus?); in exergue, capricorn to right.
    Reference: Butcher 31c; BMC 35.

The capricorn was the symbol of the legion stationed in Zeugma

Here is a mosaic from Zeugma featuring the 9 muses....

Next another temple shown in perspective/aspective (for Art History buffs).

I have to follow this post with exactly the same coin from my collection, even if it's breaking the rules of the thread a bit, because I never seem to get a chance to post it. You rarely find the Zeugma types in this condition, and with such a clear countermark in such a great place (so as to not interfere with the devices.)

That's not an AE coin, rather an AR example.

It is not Italian either. This thread attracts a lot of posts that are likely to invoke the 12 hour rule but this one was only six hours when a wrong coin was posted.
What we need here is a pre-Imperial AE trophy to satisfy both. I don't have one so I will be waiting for the twelve hour point and see who posts something that other people might have....or not.
