If you want a challenge, pick up one of the old Dansco Panama albums (not the type set, the one with each date). Talk about pricey, especially for some of the key dates!

Panamanian coins are an interesting series to collect. Many can be had from foreign junk boxes for a little above silver content with some exceptions, particularly some of the large silver coins of 1904 and 1905.

Wow! That coin took my breath away. The grade on that coin gets another wow from me. I really like the toning too. The feathers on the helmet are so nice too. and.....it is the tougher date too 1905 wow. I would send that coin in to be graded PCGS or NGC.

Lol from what little I’ve seen you post you remind me of myself, nice know I’m not the only one that has been impulsively buying every silver Panama coin I see at a decent price...if anyone’s interested in any of them at least count I had about 35 1904 5c, 8-10 10c and 3-4 25c....along with about 25 1930-47 1/10...10-12 1/4 and 5 or so 1/2...oh and at last count 21 1931-1947 balboas....all of the 47s are BU, have sent a few in for grading and eventually plan to fill up a while 50 case full of em graded thru NGC, obv a longer term goal

OK, here are a couple. Check your colour control (or something), esp. for the second coin:

I recently bought these ones. The last photo is for scale to show how big these really are.
