I lost a box at a December show that had my entire 3 cent silver collection as well a few nice IHC and some other misc coins. The problem is I had not realized until over a month after the show they had been taken. I have a strong feeling of the person involved but no proof and time laps more or less leaves me without proof. Unless I can find the coins being sold as I do have images most all were posted here on CT at one time or another. After being side lined for a few months I opened up my travel bag that had not been touched since the Dec. Show. The small slab box gone !
here are 2 more specimens that are missing! Until I can go though everything else to see what's gone and post some images. My bad to allow over a month before going though my show bag. The 62/1 was a huge loss purchased years ago at a fair but high price had most definitely increased in value. In its condition.
At a show in Dec. I was working...as they say life happens and I had not touched anything to do with coins, or the bag they were in....I didn't make a purchase at that show......so I knew what coins I had with me as well as reference books. It's funny I am the total recall type I say 90 % of my collection I can tell you ,whom I purchased it from, amount paid, where it is stored at home, if I took it with me ...outside the house for any reason. I blame myself as had I taken the time to secure my bag at home I would of known that night and could of reacted . The 1865 fancy 5 woodie love token with the burn ....well that's one for sure is a 1 of a kind!
Truly sorry Paddy. I've had my collection stolen when I was much younger and the coins were much more sentimental. I hope you're able to recover them.
Except now society has to make disability payments to them because they can't work. I like branding personally. Tattooing is acceptable now.
