I bought this for $1.50 when I was about 10 years old. The dealer had labelled it "Fine. Light Damage" I don't really see any damage. So what are your opinions on it? Thanks.
The only thing I see is a rim ding and what might be a scratch under the toning on the upper left on the reverse, stright under the s in states, but nothing bad for the grade. Looks "fine" to me.
looks like a fine The coin photo looks like a fine. The only minor damage I can see in the photo is that the D mint mark was removed after the coin left the mint. Very best regards, collect89
Wow, I never would have noticed that. I can barely see it with my 5X magnifying glass. But you're right. Apparently someone did scratch a triangle into it.
When you have looked at enough coins, such things tend to jump out at you. When you haven't - you miss them.
Me ? 55, but age has little to do with it. I know of several individuals in the hobby who are in their 20's and they have seen far, far more coins than I ever have.
I was asking adaml just because I usually find merc's for $1.20 that I buy as junk silver that look between good and xf... I'm thinking 1.50 is alot even if adam is 15. Does anyone else agree? Right of the bat a ten yr old is going to get taken buying ice cream.
I'm 25. The 1916 lists at $7.00 in fine in the Redbook. I know Redbook prices are on the high side though. Still, $1.50 is "alot"? Thats a 30 cents difference. I've got 50 times that in my couch cushions right now, lol.
a lot alot & whatevr bro Does the Red Book have a special pricing on on "slightly damaged"? But hey who might get lucky & find $10 merc in your sofa along with the rest of your change you never know, rite.
Or sometimes you just get lucky, like me. That jumped out at me as well and I don't feel like I know much about coins at all.
