    What a tragic period of history! Beautiful coin, @panzerman !

    I don’t have a coin from the period but—I do have a graphic button of Uzziah who was a Judaean Ruler stricken with leprosy during his reign as King of Judah. As shown in the 1553 AD illustration by Guillaume Rouille—he suffered severe facial disfigurement.

    He reigned 1327 to 1377 so covers the Black Death with room to spare.
