The die polish lines make this one a bit harder. Also, the hit on the bottom lip worries me. Overall though it looks like a nice coin and I'd say YES for Green.
Yes for green bean. The coin appears to be PL on the obverse (hence the star), and even though there's some contact marks right in the middle of the bands on the reverse, I would think that JA would support his MS67 bid price on that coin.
You've been added to the list as well. For now let's get some more replies on the Mercury dime. @physics-fan3.14 we'd like to hear your thoughts given the nature of the coin.
I'll be honest, I hadn't responded on the Merc because I don't have a very good idea on this one. As far as grade goes, I think it is definitely a solid 67. In that respect, I could see it with a CAC.
I will go ahead and call it on the 1940-D Mercury Dime. As far as I know, this coin has not been submitted to CAC. I am not savvy enough to take full slab images, so this is from NGC's cert verification page.
I imagine it was white when slabbed, I think the color gained has added to the eye appeal. I'll guess gold sticker.
Green CAC I've seen worse get 62/63 grades, but that is usually due to color bumps. To be a gold for me, it would need to be approaching a 63 and I don't see that here. As a 61, it is solid for the grade (I'd say "A" level for a 61).
