    I have never owned one of these however I have always liked the portrait design and style.

    One shilling and sixpence, or 18 pence, produced by the Bank of England between 1812 an 1816. There are also 3 shilling bank tokens from the same years

    Nice addition! I also find that design intriguing. The original "skin" on your coin is very appealing to me. Although charted by the Bank of England, these pieces were struck under the supervision of Matthew Robinson Boulton (Matthew Boulton's son) at the Soho Mint. Your coin is an example of the second bust used in the series. The only 18 Pence I have in my collection depicts the first bust.
