Removing Mildew ?

    This beautiful set has unfortunately mildewed - primarily the case, but some of the coins as well (see pics).
    Is there a safe way to remove the mildew from the coins without damaging them in any way ?

    I don't think it's mildew. It looks like corrosion. Unfortunately, it looks baked into the surface.

    Thank you - would that be from moisture as well ?
    And just out of curiosity, if it was mildew, is there a cure ?

    That album looks like it's been in a damp place for a few years. I would get those coins out of that album and buy a new one. Once there is corrosion on the surface of coins, it's toast!
