I was at the store when I received this coin. It is a 1942 quarter. There is a frame going around the head and tail and the rim of the quarter has a carved line going all the way around it. What do you think about it?

I think that someone had a lot of time on his hands. I don't know why this person mutilated the quarter.

It looks like it might have been spooned.

NEat quarter, unfortunatly, I'll say it's post mint damage. Still interesting though (and silver too :thumb:)

The person who did this to this coin obviously does not like Washington Quarters plus has way to much time on their hands.

In today's money it is worth about $2.11.
