Fake common date large cents and half cents(and others). Check the store out and familiarize yourself with what the fakes look like. Because you know they will see them without the word "replica" on them. Sigh.... http://cgi.ebay.com/Replica-1832-Classic-Head-Half-Cent-L-K_W0QQitemZ320290501775QQihZ011QQcategoryZ4182QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem http://cgi.ebay.com/Replica-1827-Coronet-Head-Large-Cent-L-K_W0QQitemZ320290501712QQihZ011QQcategoryZ11949QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
Yep - thats the way it looks. I saw one auction where a buyer ask if the would sell them without the word replica on them - the answer was yes.
These copies are getting really good. They are going to fool lots of folks. Not a good thing for the hobby.
I agree and I would not mind it so much if they always put replica on the coin. Doing that would be okay, but selling them without the word replica will cause problems.
That is until someone in the US buys a ton of them without the word replica on them and starts selling them as real. It would be interesting to get a couple and look at size, weight, and detail up close. No - not a good thing for the hobby!

"THERE IS NO COPY STAMPED ON COIN TO MAKE IT LOOK EVEN MORE REAL." And these are being sold by a dealer in New Hampshire (not China). This is getting alarming folks!
