Should i be excited if

I found a 1955p circulated jefferson nickel. With a mintage of 7 million. Not shinny just kinda regular. Whats do us member consider worth keeping or putting in 2x2's. I really don't personally keep my finds. Should i save these for my grandbabies. Or it just wishful hoarding. I would like to give them good coins to save. Should i save these type of coins for them. Or am i going overboard. Thanks

Meow would think a 55 would be hard to find in any grade CRH. Meow would add it to the Cat hoard unless it had damage to it and not wear.

It's a general question. Wondering if 7 million mintage really means it's something to save when circulated

 

Anything of interest is worth saving, be it in a 'flip', a 2x2, or an old wine jug........

 

If you ever think you'd like to assemble a Whitman folder of Jefferson Nickels for your grandkids, definitely keep it. It doesn't really have much of a premium if any as far as resell value, but it doesn't come up often in the wild. So it's a good hole filler.

 

I for one get excited whenever I find a coin in circulation that's as old as I am.
