The reverse has striations similar to a split planchet error.

    Zinc planchets don't split apart
    like copper cent planchets.

    Are they just scratches?

It's zinc and for a 1 year old coin it looks this bad, shiny but bad looking.

What about die scrapes or scratches?

Just scratches. Notice how they go over the devices.

Look at the first pic. It looks like a clash of some sort. Left side of one cent.

I see some feeder finger marks in the open fields.

These new pics suggest also to me die scratches and/or scrapes.

In addition to the feeder finger marks, I see what appears to be a die crack and a ridge line forming. So, I'm at die deterioration with the rest of the marks.

An educated collector would weigh the coin, but then again, we are talking about @Avery G.

Planchet striations. They have a worn roller on the rolling mill.
