Every once in awhile I turn on the TV Boys to see the *DEALS!! Tonight I seen where you can get what NO ONE else has!! 2005 Proof American Silver Eagles!!! Price $59.95 each. in Original Government packaging!! My question is, How many here have purchased coin(s) from one of the television programs?

$59.95 for 2005 Silver Proof Eagles- sounds about right as everything on TV is marked up about double what it's worth. I don't shop those guys, but I do enjoy watching them. I learn some things and get ideas. I have only made two purchases from TV and that was over 3 years ago. I purchased a dollar type set in an acrylic lens, Morgan to SAC for $40. The two silver dollars were AU, rest were BU- 5 in all I think. Gave as gift, very cool item. Would buy more if I could even find. 2nd were a set of 61,62,63 mints sets for $24. Opened of course and now I know looked through for gems. But I needed them as gifts at time and price wasn't that bad. Someone here says "if you like it, then it's a good deal for you". What also is true is knowledge is power. That's one of the reasons, I come here everyday- to learn more so I can collect wisely.
I was going to write a post saying that even Littleton is cheaper than that ! But then I looked up the 2004 proof ASE in their catalog: $63.50 !!! Maybe I'm looking at this too negatively. "$59.95 ! My 2005 ASE that I just bought from the Mint for $27.95 is already worth $59.95 ! What a smart investor I am !"

wow, I like to watch the shows too, but never order. those gold state quarters and such, it seems they bought them all, and cant get rid of them now
Gold State Quarters ? I only see that kind of thing in Littleton's catalog. Is there a connection between Littleton and this show ?
Can you guys relate to the hype they throw out? It is between a politician and a preacher..the thing is that all three of them rip ya off! I suppose they count on those folks that do not know the difference. It angers me when the truth is streched like that..it is like me saying there is only 1000 jars of peanut butter and I have em all!! get em while ya can just 109.99 ea!!
