http://cgi.liveauctions.ebay.com/49...m14QQhashZitem320286073612QQitemZ320286073612 Don't know why because I do not collect tokens but, I want one of these!
Son's Birthday was August 10. Don't collect exunomia of any kind, but came across a Superbowl XXX so-called-coin in ChAU (used in opening ceremony coin-toss). My son collects Super Bowl memorabilia of the Cowboys. The Cowboys won the Superbowl. My son says the coin is the highlight of his Superbowl collection! Thanks for sharing your token find.... Clinker
A bit macabre, but a very fascinating put to medal opinion. I wonder what with the nature of the piece, that it shall far exceed the current bidding levels?
Do tokens like this have some kind of catalog number? What I mean is, has someone assigned a identification number to various tokens...or are there so many different types and varieties that many of them are "unlisted?"
Rulau(?) has listed a ton of tokens. Spent over a day looking up Hard Times Tokens. Now I want one of those!
I want one too. That's why I want an ID number or something for this token. So, down the road when I can afford to pick one up, I'll know how to search for it.
My copy of Rulau is several years old, but I could not find a listing for this token. Sorry. Maybe someone else can be of more service.
I just wish I had previously established credit with Dana Linett and could avoid having to bid on this on feeBay.
Way to go nickelman. Thanks to you I now have two Hard Times Tokens. Commons but a good deal - paid $15 for the pair. http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0006-8.jpg http://i182.photobucket.com/albums/x275/clembo1872/scan0007-10.jpg clembo
Nice token, but not a nice message to the CSA. Glad he wasn't hung as it was better to unite the country. I have started to collect Civil War tokens which are interesting and made mostly in the North.
