Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I don't care for either - especially the reverse.

I personally like some toning but it has to cover more then just the rim. These coins are not for me either because of the limited toning. Sometimes toning can inhance the coin and the price. But as previously state beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Is that a die break mark across the entire coin? If so...it's a keeper!

Toning is in the eye of the beholder. I've seem some darned awful looking coins (especially roosies) where the poster shows the dime covered with what looks like brown gunk and gushes about how he/she was lucky to pick it up. And then of course, the rest of the loyal subjects follow with posts oohhing and ahhing.

So Mr. Geki, don't ask whether it's nice toning - state it explicitely and make it sound like anyone would be crazy to disagree and that you spent all the money you received from your First Communion to buy it and then see how the responses change!!!

But seriously. You don't have to ask that question. The answer is within yourself :)

I think the plum-coloured ASE is very attractive... I haven't seen a lot of toning in that colour before. Too bad it's a bullion coin though.

Not to me. The toning is too little to be an attractive.

Couldn't have put it better, myself. Randy, your question is [warning: big word time] superfluous.
