My boss showed me a 1999 $100 bill in perfect uncirculated condition. She got it years ago from a strap from the fed reserve and it is missing the green seal stamp. Any idea of the value?
The reason for the high quality pics (or scans) is because there are multiple possible errors here. There could be the missing overprint (all serials and seals are missing) There could be the underink for green ink (missing green serials and seal or just the seal) There could be the obstruction (something got between the paper and seal when overprint was printed). Best bet is to find a local dealer or show and take the note for an opinion. Even if there is no ink, there could still be evidence on the paper to tell what type of error occured (or if it was faked). My personal recommendation is to find a coinshow because then you get multiple opinions/offers in one visit.
I wasn't able to get a pic cuz she doesn't keep her safe deposit key on her. She did say though that the green serial numbers are there just the seal is missing.
