I have never heard of a $1 bill being called a sawhorse. The old Tens were called sawbucks and the Twenty's a double sawbuck.
It’s called that because of the back design. That big X looks like some 2X4’s nailed together like a carpenter made a sawhorse.
Ten dollar bills had that and they were called Sawbucks. Twenties were called double sawbucks. I noted that I have never heard the term sawhorse used for the $1 bill.

The post office always does that do to there routing of mail, i once lived in California and ordered something from Utah, and it actually went to Chicago before getting to me....LOL
