So today I searched all day looking for RPM's, DD's, and OMM's in Lincoln cents, with nothing to report. So Im lying in bed thinking about it, then I realize I have a Blue folder of Late lincolns I picked up for 5 bucks, So I get out of bed grab my List of RPM's to look for and start searching while Im lying in bed. and this is what I found! 1959 D/D/D RPM 1. Its even listed in CONECA's top 100 RPM! this is my first RPM find of any sort, and I am frickin excited!
I now agree. I wouldnt have before. LOL, not here, It was 3 in the morning when I posted that Yah, sure is. Im so pumped, I couldnt seem to get my camera to focus nicely last night, so Ill try again after work. thanks all! any opinions on price? I was thinking like.. 5 bucks? 6 bucks
I found a 1953 Lincoln with a doubled Liberty. I found it with a naked eye, it was so apparent. I sent it to NGC and they sent it back 1953 Lincoln AU 53. No mention of the doubling. I'm so disgusted with them, I'd like to send them a box of dog you know what. I'd like to see if it comes back "2004 Golden Lab, Purina". Vegas Vic
The TPG's will not attribute coins for varieties or errors unless you submit the coin and ask and pay for the attribution. They do not do it automatically.
Correct. I think one of the least expensive right now is ANACS. If you tell them which RPM you think it is they will designate it on the label for only an extra $5.00
Right. Five or six dollars is all you can expect provided you secure a willing buyer. [Unless it's MS64 or nicer] But even if it's MS62 I expect the buyer to beat the price down to about five bucks.
RPM is repunched mint mark, and OMM means Over mint mark Like.. D over S or vise versa. DD means Double Die
OK I just had to look through my 1959D cents [all 12 of them] but no dice. Did find a 1953D RPM but the coin was cleaned somewhere in it's life. That 59 D/D/D is spectacular. RPMs are hot. With the Lincoln cent turning 100 years old I'm sure they are going to be bought and sold like hot cakes. I am going to be careful what I get rid of!
Hey Victor don't be so hard on yourself...lots of coins get cleaned before we find them. After all it is still a 1953 RPM, and may be one of many more to come. jeankay
