That’s a cool puck, @Chiefbullsit. I wish they would make a 5 oz puck of the Vermont state quarter. I love the design.
I have absolutely no connection to Oregon, and thus limited reasons to ever own that coin, but man, I always loved that design. It is beautiful Obverse and Reverse, and you can't say that about a lot of the classic commems. Examples also tend to tone up very nicely, unlike many of the York Maine design. (the commem type I have in my type set). Also, that generation of Slabs is my #1 favorite, and of course, being a CAC fan-boy, I love the emerald sticker too. I guess that's my long winded way of saying, I dig your coin. Reverse seems to have really great luster, more so than the Obverse. Is that how its appears in hand? I love that Satin blooming Luster. p.s. I see that I am loving most of the coins you have been posting, I think we must have a similar aesthetic for coins. I think I would buy just about everyone I see you post, funds allowing of course. So, the goods news for me is that I get to live vicariously through your purchases, and my bank account balance stays intact.
Thanks, it’s a great coin. The obverse is more reflective than the reverse; it’s also very lustrous but I can’t seem to capture what it looks like in hand.
After getting 5 of the same W quarters (Guam War in the Pacific) I finally got something different, San Antonio Mission!
