I went to dump my week's coins this morning and when I got to the teller, she told me she had something for me. This teller is super awesome and saves all the foreign coins for my son so I was expecting something along those lines. I was certainly not expecting this. She (and the other tellers) will be getting donuts next weekend :)

Since it is not a "foreign" coin you can keep it rather than giving it to your son. Nice pickup.

Nice Pickup! Did they let you get it for a dollar? I'd hope so haha.

Pretty cool. I did once find a worn buffalo/sitting bull nickel in my change years ago.

Yup. She counted back my money and then I paid her with a dollar bill :)

It was a silver certificate then?

No. Silver certificates are bills. This is a dollar coin, and a very nice one at that!

Ha, ha, sorry, I saw the coin, very nice. I was, feebly, attempting to joke that when you wrote you gave the teller a dollar bill, that the dollar bill was an old silver cert since it reads, redeemable for one silver dollar, or something like that.

Some other "gentleman" had just dumped a bunch of coins before me. The poor front desk lady got her work out this morning haha.

She's the one that deserves the donuts. Whatever they pay her, it's not enough. You think her job employment description includes; 50Lbs lifting requirement? ;)

I always lift the bags onto the cart for her. I figure it is the least I can do.

Do anything for a good bank teller. When I was school I would sit in the bank vault on Saturday morning g and roll coins for the tellers. I was allowed to swap out anything I had cash to buy.

Went to my credit union to make a dump and there was an individual that just cashed a bunch of coins and it is a major Score! It still difficult for me to understand why people do this, and this guy came back to the credit union after I purchased them and tried to get them back, Kind of feel bad for him. I purchased 251-40%ers, 17-90%ers, Plus 15 Silver Quarters and two dimes. 1-51 Franklin, 6-64, 10-64D's, 13-65, 35-66, 72-67, 56-68, and 75-69's. Quarters are, 1-41, 1-61, 2-62, 1-63, 1-64P, 9-64D's, Dimes, 1-48S and 1-63D. This haul gives me great hope I will score silver like this in some boxes. When I see individuals which isn't very often, cash in such a large amount of silver halves, I am sure they show up in a box I purchase. I dream of the days of those monster boxes. This time I got a monster Teller!

Thank you all for the kind comments, Last week cracked open 12 boxes 5 contained silver, 10 pieces, 1-64D, 1-65, 2-67, 3-68, 2-69, and 1-70S Proof. I also scored 1-80 Clad Proof 2-18D's, I have one roll with an ender I put up on my Etsy page, It weighs 26.1 grams and the one roll that had 5 pieces of silver weighed 26.5 grams, I think there at least 2-3 pieces in this roll. Nice week got my goal from searching, plus the teller score. I just scored another bank that will order for me. Hope you all have an awesome week, Keep Stacking!
