    Good Morning! Well, I am back with this penny again. 1943 copper penny over date 1945. Please have a look and you tell me? Its for sure!

    It’s PMD. Post Mint Damage. The 5 took a hit sometime(s) in the last 75 years. The metal has been displaced on the 5 to the NW. It’s just a damaged 1945 cent.

    Your 1945 cent has received some post mint damage. It's not even close to a 3 by any stretch of the imagination but it is copper.

    Take a red Sharpie and write over the date on the coin. Then it will be a "1943 over 1945". ~ Chris

    The earlier date could only be underneath a later date.

    Not an overdate.. Not a variety nor mint error of any kind.
