My one, very youthful-looking, Commodus: Commodus AR Denarius 181 AD. Obv. Laureate head right, M COMMODVS ANTONINVS AVG/ Rev. Pax standing left, holding branch & cornucopiae, TR P VI IMP IIII COS III P P. RIC III 17, RSC II 806. 17 mm., 3.15 g.

Here's another early one, about a year before DonnaML's. This one is beardless, I think, but it could be a shave via circulation wear:

    Commodus Denarius
    (179-180 A.D.)
    Rome Mint

L AVREL COMMODVS AVG, laureate cuirassed bust right / TR P V IMP III COS II P P, Fortuna seated left with rudder & cornucopiae, wheel under seat.
    RIC 2; RSC 779-779b; BMC 810-812
    (3.09 grams / 16 mm)

I do the same. I made a comment some time ago... if it is CE (AD), I feel that it is “modern” to me! :)

Thanks, @Marsyas Mike, all valid points (I haven't checked any of the links though since I refuse to give ebay even a single view/click :) ). Sorry for offtopic, all.

I always like his "bat crud crazy" issues with Commodus as Hercules. I am pretty sure I own this one, but have maybe 5 silver and 4 coppers of the type:
