Thanks for confirming that a weak strike is not typical for this variety. I looked at a couple of them and only saw one other O-107 with a similar weak strike.

Yes it shows weakness, but it’s not typical for the variety, actually the contrary is true. Read okbustchaser’s post above, he knows his stuff.

No, I didn’t. But I noticed that you tend to exaggerate, not only in this thread.

Yup, stating that they exist is totally an exaggeration

But it actually is true. Most examples of this variety show weakness at the base of the wing. Many people incorrectly think it is wear, which is why I pointed it out. Yes, most aren’t as weakly struck as this specimen, but most do show weakness in the area I pointed out.

If you don’t believe me, take a look for yourself.

My first impression is a 40, and I voted 40, but it's on the high end.

    45. Lustrous fields, clearly visible wear on the high spots.

physics-fan3.14 You got any more of them.... prooflikes?

In my opinion, this is a high end 45, but 45 is the right grade. Not enough wear and too much luster for a 40. I wouldn't be surprised to see this in a 50 holder, but I like it best at 45.

It really shows nice colors in the slab picture! Super nice XF but nowhere close to a mid-AU coin.

I guess there is very little luster left and the color is just the flat dull stuff seen on circulated coins exposed to too much sulfur.

These photos are hard to read.

Actually it's, these coins are hard to read from photos.;)
GTG threads on these always bring a wide range of opinions.
I like the coin and would bet it looks even better in hand and under the light.
