2007 D utah quarter?

No one said anything about the minting process in any of the posts. Only stains, wear and damage. Could it have been minted this way. Yes or no and why? Or why not? Thanks.

I'm sorry, but that's an uninformed response. Why couldn't it have been minted like this? If you know the minting process this should be easy to answer.

 

I agree that the U's were the same that were minted at the denver mint, specifically. The anomaly cause a slight shift of the top half of the right pole to the left. It was struck there, but not by pmd. The spot wear the anomaly crosses is incused. Not a stain.

 

Slow down, or we will have to ticket you and take away your coin privilege's.

This is not an Error it is damage.

I never said PMD. I do see light PMD but that's not what caused this. I see no shifting, just that stain.

 

I see what you are referring to and yes it can be a struck through of a dropped element. I saw it in your first post but wanted to see what others said. One of the problems with getting what you are seeing across to your audience is the photos, which are much better this last go around. Another problem is your explanations of what you are seeing.

I had, or still have somewhere, a dime with struck through material still atrached. It is black and hard like pitch. I assume that it is hardened grease the same as i suspect yours is also.

I posted that dime here, several years ago now and got the same responses.

 

Thank you!! I am working on producing better pics. I am uploading a collage top right is another 2007 D and bottom right is a 2007 P. Notice the difference between the U's. My coin was struck through.

Actually, I am the one that can be reasoned with, I might be stuck in my ways, and yet I get folks that I think can see the bigger picture. This coin is not the bigger picture. You can find better examples to share with the community. It is up to you
