They have posted the auction lots for the Long Beach Signature auction, and Boy Howdy, are there some beauties !!!! Those of you who have sent wantlists, this will be a real treat to be able to try to fill them, at the auction and the bourse floor. An excellent selection of lots from early type, to high grade super keys, lol, WOW !!! Way to go Heritage !!
There is a nice selection of early Bust dollars, I will try for one for my collection. I am and will be looking for something from the 18 century, a pre-1800 date, and in problem free G/VG/F grade, if not in the auction, then on the bourse. Also on my " collection" list will be a high grade circ Trade dollar and a proof Liberty nickel. Also would love to pick up a Mexican 50 Peso's.....I hope gold keeps dropping.
The funny thing about this coin is that the last three have sold for less than $600 while Numismedia Wholesale is at $975. I have a feeling that this coin will eclipse the $600 barrier. Is this your flavor spock, if so, you better bring some benjamins, you are going to need them. http://coins.ha.com/common/view_item.php?SaleNo=1116&LotIdNo=4574 There are many outrageously toned Long Islands, but as usual, Heritage has really butchered the photo on this one. I am getting really good at judging the toning of a coin with Heritage's photos. I am guessing that this coin is extremely lustrous and the colors which seem muted in the photos, will jump of this coin, especially on the reverse. I might actually have a chance at winning this auction since Anaconda went out of business. I can't tell you how many coins they outbid me on. BTW spock, now that I have expended all this energy touting this coin, are you really going to search for the coin I really want.
whew i was worried for a while i am not going to bid on that coin i am not going to spend any energy looking for coins i dont want but i have found a nice comem after a long time
