I have in my possession 2 Nova Scotia Thistle pennies. One 1832 and the second 1840.I am aware of the history behind the coins but cannot find a site where any value is estimated, was wondering if perhaps you could be of some assistance. Both coins are slightly oxidized but in what i would consider to be resonable condition based on age and the degree of care given to them proir to my aquiring them. Thanks for your help, needtoknow

Welcome needtoknow. It's tough to tell for sure without a picture, but that description sounds like VG at the very best. and probably only a G.
Nova Scotia. Needtoknow, the Nova Scotia 1832 coins are a very interesting part of the series,as although,King William IV was the reigning King, the coins still carry the portrait of his brother,King George IV (reigned 1820-30).There is an interesting series of contemporary imitations, which have error dates such as '1382' & '1832 over 1382'.The '1382' is very scarce.
