Here are 3 I didn't ding you guys since there are many Bernies, but do not try political comments or associations. Jim
But that nickel could be political if it's a dropped B from a clogged B in Pluribus rather than a drop from a clogged mint mark and the B got distorted by the strike and just happens to now look like a D mint mark. The conspiratorial intent of the nickel would still be the same. @classywenz is it incuse or raised? https://www.numismaticnews.net/article/error_finds_include_dropped_letter
I have 2 silver penny's.. I do not now how too post pictures. Can any boody hulp me? May be duble dyed or died .. Maybe I can sale them?
Or so they think, she is probably some 40 year old dude still living in his mom's basement. Wait that's one of the other Berny's.
I know what you meant classy - the rude person didn't. This is a great place to learn, stick around, you'll see. Cheers!
No, the "rude" person wasn't. And I picked up the implication of wanting to know if anyone was interested in buying the coin. And the response to classy was just right.
Yes, implications and perceptions are found in many communications. Some take one end and others take the other end. Since they can be helpful or hurtful, until specific " It's for sale" or "should I save it" , no one knows for sure, they tend to interpret it as they might mean it. That is why there are moderators and a report system. There was a report, yes I read the statement and realized it could go either way, but being a first post I just followed the thread to see the "truth " as I could judge. The second and last of her posting did not confirm a sell request. Jim
Well, I'm late to another party, but when I read this: ...it immediately came to my mind that she was offering it or accepting offers. No harm, no foul (fowl) for a newbie...such faux pas seems quite common with the newly initiated. Unfortunately, classy's response to @frankjg was totally out of line, especially the comment "but you make me feel like I’m an idiot"... Classy is not so much.
Welcome to CT @classywenz. As mentioned previously, you shouldn't take all members responses personally. Several here at CT come across as rude, but don't mean to. There are a lot of very experienced people here that will give you good information. Sometimes, it may not be what you want to hear, but usually it is the truth. All members give their advice from experience for free, so there is no reason for them to mislead you. And by the way, I took your post, "Is there any interest in it?" as meaning, is anyone interested in giving me an opinion, not that you were soliciting a coin for sale. Hope to see more posts from you in the future.
