I know that this has probably been touched on many times in the past. I'm not one to clean coins but I came across a partial roll of twenty five Columbian Expo Commeratives at a yard sale. I actually paid an increible price for them but thats another story. My problem is that they are all VERY, VERY, VERY oxidized. I was thinking of using an ultrasonic jewelry cleaner. I cannot bring myself to try a coin dip. Do you think this would work or should I just leave well enough alone. Thanks in advance for any help.
let them be or sell them here on CT or on the bay but for heavens sake dont use a jewellery cleaner on them
Nice yard sale find. How about some pics? An ugly tarnished coin is worth more than an improperly cleaned one.
