I wonder if there were any pre '65 silver coins in those cans or if the old man knew enough to set those aside.

its funny how this guy can buy 1/2 of a truck with coffee cans of coins, while ion another thread a guy cant pay for his dinner with coins ...

That is dependant on the people getting paid. Probably the car dealer wanted to make the sale, so he didn't argue with the guy. Unlike the restaurant folks who didn't think it was right to get paid all in change.

It is all attitude.

I just read about this in our local newspaper. Imagine the time it must have taken for those people at the dealership to count all of those coins. I bet they were glad that he at least paid for half of the cost with a check.

 

That's great. I'd like to be able to go through some of those coins.
