Using online auctions

I agree that Ebay is a swamp, but it is by far the largest place to buy and sell coins. The volume of coins sold dwarfs all others combined.

It's true at this point. With the consistently changing tax laws to fill the States coffers with undeserving funds it's only a matter of time before they start adding the taxes to their sales. IMO hobbies should be exempt from taxes, especially numismatic items.
