    IMO The early-mid 19th century was the absolute best time for copper coinage.

    Color a bit off for copper? Or do my eyes deceive me due to my excessive consumption of the devils brew?

    Yep. This coin had old lacquer that was removed on its surfaces. The color is mellowing but its a bit off as a result.

    Very nice.
    IMO it's an AU-58.
    There appears to be a touch of wear on some of the leaves on the reverse.
