This 1855 SL 1/2 dime has a few things going on with it. Good clash marks visible on both sides, the reverse is struck off center, and I think the reverse die was very close to retirement, since the die break goes straight across.
Looks like the die was going to break on the next couple of coins , I'm suprised it didn't break already . rzage
I like it. This coin has a lot of interesting things in one package - off center (one side only), die clash obverse and reverse and die crack. It would make a great educational coin. Die clashes are more common on small coins, e.g., half dime, 3 cent, etc. I like die clashes and buy them when I don't have to pay very much extra.
