New Bust Purchases

    The half was from E-bay, but the rest came from my local coin store - finally the coin store got in some books. :) Love the darkness of the half and the details on the half dime. I also got an 1800 dotted date bust dollar. Now to go figure the variety for the half dime. I asked them about varieties today and what they looked for - was told that all Bust Dollars get looked at and the same with Bust Halves. For things like large cents they look for the major or rarer varieties. Another good day and once again all comments are welcome.

    That filled * on the half dime has me wondering. I checked the posting of the Russ Logan collection from the Bowers and Marena sale and found the variety. I'll let you have the fun, too.

    Nice grabs Mark. I especially like the half dime. You can also check Valentines book on half dimes if you want to look up half dime varieties yourself.
