Hello everyone I am here today to share a coin I found in a wallet my grandma gave me. She gave me 3 wallets to pick from a long tine ago and I guess I chose the right one haha. Can’t wait to show her.

Nice find @kden it's not every day you find a Canadian large cent out of the blue.

Now that's a fun find!! Congratulations on a superb pick (of wallets)! Maybe ask to see the other ones you didn't pick...maybe another fun find to be had.

That would’ve been very cool but I picked this wallet I’d say 4 or 5 months ago. I think she donated the others. Some random people may get pretty lucky as well haha.

For unknown moral reasons I feel it’s only necessary to continue to keep it in my wallet and carry it around as a good luck charm. My grandparents have always been the light of my life.

@kden Many members have a pocket piece...generally with some sentimental attachment. It's quite common. Some keep a piece to generate conversations with those non-coin collecting types (I forget...who are they again?). It sounds like you have an appropriate pocket piece that will generate a smile every time you look at it. It's got to be good!!

Nice Canadian Cent. Keep the wallet and give the Cent back to grandma. :)

Are you mixing Mentos with Dr. Pepper?

Not exactly but I was at work eating mentos and drinking dr pepper. So in my belly? Yes technically.

Sweet coin and an even sweeter Grandmother, kden! Grandmothers are the best.....even though my grandmother , who lived on the Wisconsin River, would never allow me to fish by myself (around 7 years old) unless I would let her tie me to a tree with just enough slack to get about 2 feet from the water. She did have a pretty cool IHC collection though. I remember that she had a whole bunch of IHC's from the year (1909) that she was born. I wasn't astute enough back then to see if any had an "S" on the reverse. She had at least 50 1909's, so I bet there was at least one.
