Well, it's a star which is nice. Unfortunately, IMO I don't think it's worth much over face. First, it's not from a very rare run (it's from a 3,200,000 run). Second, it's wavy/creased. Third, looks like someone took a bite out of one of the corners. On the other hand, I always try to hold my stars. It's not a bad way to accumulate some savings, it doesn't cost much (in this case, $10) and you can always change your mind and spend it later. Still, a nice find.
Well to me it does not look like a bite, but an extra piece of paper where it did not cut cleanly. Anyway I am not a note expert, but I agree it is a star note so just hang on to it.
All stars are cool, however, a gem example from such a large run of them is much more prefered. Still worth the $10 and maybe more to the right collector...center creases lower it to XF to XF IMO.. Extra paper from poor cut makes it a little more attractive. RickieB
If you don't need the $10..keep it. Not like you are losing money because you can always spend it later if you don't want it...or maybe sell it to someone for face value + shipping if you'd rather a collector have it. When you get a large collection of them, you tend to start to pick and choose.
I have a consecutive series of 5 low-numbered star notes from this series in uncirculated condition. (GA00711109* and up) Any idea if they're worth anything? Thanks!
