    I was going to ask about the single squeeze method, haha. To my understanding, there is a lot of similarity between the Class VIII and the single squeeze doubling.

    Just to make this a more complete thread, here is an example of Class VIII, on a 1951 Franklin. This is the discovery piece (which I found):

    Sorry about bumping this thread from the back pages. It can get kinda hectic at year end. Thomas Mozillo mentioned the 1955 Doubled Die DDO-001 (1-O-I-CCW) Lincoln Cent in an earlier post in this thread. The following illustrations are based on a coin borrowed from another thread here on CoinTalk. My coin photography skills are truly lacking. The coin is presented to be known as genuine and its specs looked good - so I ran with it.
