2017 D nickel die chip ?

    Looks like damage. It appears incuse from contact with another sharper/harder object. Chips will leave blobs that protrude above the field/device.

    It looks like a gouge on the die to me.
    Different than a die chip but with about the same results.

    It looks like there is coin metal pushed up along the edges which would make it a damaged coin. I could be wrong, but I'd want to see a better photo that is illuminated better. ~ Chris
