Nice proof!!! Not only, the only WN proof, but it gives this years "proof set" the distinction of being a 6 coin set. I will have this set one day, oh yes, I will have one. I do have a NGC slabbed 1942 63RD cent, and its beautiful. It does have a very tiny hit mark on the obverse object, but it is very hard to see at a glance, thus a good reason for the 63. Funny though, a couple years ago I purchased this coin for about 37 bucks, which I think is a great price for a coin that there were only 32.6k produced. Thanks for sharing the pic. Allen
Walter: I also just purchased his cousin, the proof 42 pre-war nickel nickel. I am thinking about assembling the rest in the proof set, but for now, the nickels will do just fine.
Good luck to you with your acquisitions. I browse teletrade often and keep tabs on trading of these on other specific coins. I only lack "The Cash" to have them. I know in time, in time. Beautiful! Simply beautiful. All these wonderful "high grade" nickels. I'm dying with envy. Keep on Collecting!!! Allen
How exactly does one forget a coin like this u have a coin that's only 1 of 12 and you forgot about it??? You must have too many coins and need to send me this unbelievable specimen Really - Nice coin!
Nice Ones I see the Monticello doubling on the 45DDR, but I can't see any on the 43DDO. How about clue me in on what I need to look at? Please. Thanks, Allen
Nice Toner I really like your NT nickel. Yours has a very natural and attractive pattern. It should get more intense and colorful as years go by. Protect this one well. Thanks for sharing! Allen
I've seen a MS DD eye before and it was slight doubling, but it could be seen. I can't see it on yours, but I'm sure its there. Pictures are OK, but nothing betters in hand for seeing a coin for what it really is. Again thanks for sharing your collection. It is very impressive. Allen
