    a) Do you guys know about Coin Country? I saw it on Dish TV last night and they had more Morgan Dollars than I could count. All graded and slabbed. Except for a couple ugly coins, they were offered at min-$200 to max-$500. Is that on the high end of the market value?

    b) I'm going to the coin shop this morning, and look at what's available. I need some 2X2s and some cards/holders. They have big boxes of culls,Peace dollars at $14 each, and Merc Dimes at $2.50. Are these good prices? Also, could I find a pretty clean coin out of a "cull" box? (Rember, I'm not a "high end" collector, just doing it for fun.)

    c) What is different about buying at a coin show, and buying at the coin shop? Which offers the chance of getting a better value?

    tight wad:

#1: TV and coins were never meant to go together.
    They should be outlawed.

#2: As a rule the coin show dealers have lower overhead, and can work closer on prices.
    (lower margins of markups).

However, as far as your neighborhood dealer, just sit and talk to him (or her) and get to know them.

Tight wad: You have to live up to your name and stay away from those TV shows.....take it from a guy who was once unenlightened and got burned in the worst way.
