Todays favorite. The coin is super nice but so are my pictures and no touch up beyond adding the 2 images side by side and cropping. In focus, good light, and great surfaces.
I think this has to be my fav. It has it's original presentation box and issue number certificate and Carson City mintmark . Photos not too good, light keeps bouncing off the slab
It's been several months since my first post, so let's try this one for today. The scratch over the 50 is on the slab.
This coin is my phone screen saver. If I had to collect one coin series it would be this one. I only have an obverse picture of her. I had others but they're lost in my computer somewhere.
1897-S quarter that came out of my Dad's Klondike Placer Mine its got great details and but very dark toning it's raw so don't know the grade and would likely never submit it for grading
...and I believe that’s my favorite Bust half dollar. Not the most valuable coin, just one I like a lot and will not sell anytime soon.
It's in a rattler MS63. A couple of years ago I took it to Long Beach when Hall was doing free grading evaluations. His reaction was amusing, he went, "Ohhhh!!!". It was obvious he really liked it. He said under current grading conditions it would easily upgrade to a 64, and had a very good chance to go 65.
