Some years past I was offered a complete set of pristine business strike 1901 coins, pulled from a Philidelphia bank and stored away nicely in 1901. These two are now residing in a client's collection - the Nickel graded at MS68 and is one of the finest known, if not THE finest. I'd hate to price that coin today ................. I had thought that the Nickel would grade as high as MS69 as there are virtually NO MARKS on it, not even the slightest rim nick or rub! Oh well, the graders didn't agree! What's YOUR opinion?
I agree completely! I would love to see better pictures of both coins as well as the reverses. Thanks for posting what you have JGAIN!!! They both look like they were just minted! Hope your client has taken good care of them!!!
One tip for you: Don't spend them!!! Both coins are great, but that nickel looks gorgeous!!!!! :thumb: Phoenix
Very nice looking coins. I can see just a couple small marks on the cent, but they are both very, very clean coins. :thumb:
WOW! You can even see the cartwheel luster on the nickel, thats amazing. And the penny is pristine also. WOW!!
Both great looking coins - a good find. As for the nickel, it does appear that there is a mark halfway down from the ear to the base.
