1984 d quarter possible DDO

    Hi everyone
    I found this 1984 D quarter in some pocket change to me it looks like a split serif on the Y of liberty please let me know what you think thanks

    Well the "Y" certainly looks like the serifs are split. Variety Vista doesn't list any 84D DDO's, but who knows. Anything else look doubled on the coin?

    Looks like MD to me. Not just the tip of the serif, but the whole right side of the Y is flat, angular and thinner than the remnants of the first strike below the second MD strike.
