The coin looks to have very minimal wearing, but I don't know how to grade it considering it gets so technical with the higher-quality pieces. Any help?
Kinda hard from your picture , but everything looks like it's there , MS . Need clearer pics to tell . rzage
Odd picture , but from the details I can make out it looks AU- ish . Post another pic that isn't so contrasted . The shoulder & breast look to have wear to me.
they all have doubts ill take bette rpics of the coin just send it to me. you will get good pics and a grade just dont ask for the coin back joking apart can you get pics that are not faded if you are going to force me to grade on these pics i wont go above 58
much better but whats giving it the gamma effect? are you using a scanner? the scratch above the in will keep out of a slab (if it is a scratch) there also happens to be a lil rim ding just below the P definitely see wear on the shoulder but sometimes those get overlooked by the TPG's
You photos are pixelized making it impossible to see the detail we need to grade your coin. Can you get better photos? What ISO are you using? If you have it cranked up to 800 or more adjust it down to around 200 or less.
I'm using a scanner with 1200 or 2400 resolution, i can't remember. you think i should turn the resolution lower?
no no higher but make sure its gets the true life detail there might be other aspects of the coin that we cant see right now
great catch!!! I see the line that goes around the obverse of the coin, and I think that you may be right. The obverse seems to have some wear and the reverse seems to be mostly clean. These coins are almost impossible to grade from pics in the higher grades as with gold the flatness of the strike and slight wear can be hard to distinguish at times, even in-hand.
I would agree that it might have been a jewelery coin, too. Edges look a little off. But that might just be the photo. I also can't really see any wear on it.
