Skeptical about 1983 Lincoln Die Clash

    I have recently been watching for different types of coin errors and this penny popped out at me. Is this simple environmental damage or a realistic die clash error? Thank you guys very much for any responses, y'all are always extremely helpful.

    Dried adhesive. Left an impression of another Cent on it.

    Not a Clash and not an error.

    yup, old glue, pick it off with your fingernail...

    Thank you guys! The link from alurid was very helpful as I wasn't exactly sure how a die clash happens until now. Yeah it will probably peel off. Good thing to check first before bringing the steel wool to your coins, right? lol thanks again

    That glue is really on there, epoxy or superglue I guess. It's such a perfect impression I'm just gonna leave it on :)
