Rotated die

Here’s a 2015-D nickel that I just came across. The obverse and reverse are about 135 degrees off. I can’t see any sign of a seam using a loupe

Have you looked close? Does it sound or feel hollow?

 

It sounds the same when dropped compared to a 2014 nickel. I checked it again with a 16x power loupe. Some more close ups

 

Too bad it has coin wrapper crimper damage.

 

Looks like a good rotation to me. Seems extreme.

 

I know. Of all the coins to get it, happened to this one. Could have been worse. Still, it made me happy to find it

 

Nice find but a shame about the damage on the coin.
