I have heard that this has been called the '50 State Quarters' programme.Shouldn't it be more correct to say '100 State Quarters',as they have both 'P' & 'D' mintmarks? But the 'S' mintmark coins are proof-only. Aidan.
hmm...I guess no, because there are 50 states and yeah there are P D and S coins but for the same state Ivan
Just think of it as quarters of the 50 States, not 50 quarters depicting States. And, for some unknown reason, the U.S. Mint uses American spelling, not English spelling, for the name of its "Program".
