I have had an automatic subscription for the Mint's Silver proof sets for several years. I just got a notice that my card had expired and needed to update it or my order would be cancelled. My question to those of you who know more, it it worth maintaining my order? I see the price will be $44.95 this year and I have an oder for 4 sets. Is it worth getting them from the mint, or buying them later? In other words could I probably get them for less later on or do they hold their value?

I doubt you will ever get them for less, at least not for many years.

i have managed to get them for less ( the silver proof sets) from the bay but at most you will save 5 - 10 bucks if that and they might be problem sets or screened sets not worth the heartache and the headache IMHO. this would only apply to the common years like 2000 you wont get something like the 1999 set for that much so its not worth taking the risk
